A new week, a new dress

How's this for an interesting combination: feedsack and silk. Keeper made me this feedsack dress. I was a bit dubious. Do I look like an ashes and sackcloth type of girl. OK, feedsack. Whatever - it's all the same to me. But she put a silk ribbon around my waist and told me it was the latest fashion. Truthfully, I didn't buy her line, but she did work hard when she was tired to make it for me, so I wore it to please her. Today I wore it. Tomorrow, I'll require a different dress.

All the pretty little butterflies & a chair

See my butterfly dress? I just love all the pretty colors. This is dress 4 that Keeper made me.
This is my first piece of furniture. Keeper thought I deserved leather, but I'm not sure it's quite tall enough. She said she could remedy that, so I agreed to call it my first piece of furniture for the new house. I've not yet seen that, but I'm hoping she will uncrate it soon. I'm eager to have my own place and stop staying in borrowed quarters.

Welcome to my Blog

My name is Hitty Lotzalove Athrenine. I'm a hand-carved Ash Hitty made in 2003 by Jean Lotz, number A39 (Athrenine). I recently relocated to another part of the country, thanks to a generous benefactor. I was unexpected, so my new accommodations were not yet prepared for me. In some ways, this was fortunate in that I will now be able to personally supervise the layout and furnishings. I'm temporarily staying in some quarters not my own. They had to be cleared of some riff-raff before I took possession, and I'm hoping the location will be very temporary. I know you all wonder where exactly I am, but that can't be revealed, for my safety and for my people's sanity, or so say my people. I know you will understand. I hope to be somewhat incognito, yet visible enough that my many admirers have the occasional glimpse. Here I am in my holiday finery.

I wish you a very Happy 4th of July.
